Running in Benjakitti Park: routes, distances, hours and run clubs
A runner's guide to Benjakitti Forest Park, Bangkok: the 1.8 km lake loop and 2.8 km running track, opening hours, the skywalk, linking to Lumpini, and the run clubs that meet there.
Since its 2022 expansion into a forest park, Benjakitti has become the home of Bangkok's social run clubs. On a Sunday morning you'll see several hundred runners set off from its gates.
The essentials
- Lake loop: about 1.8 km around the main lake — the classic club loop.
- Running track: a 2.8 km ground-level route through the park.
- Hours: 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily.
- Getting there: MRT Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre is right next to the park.
- The skywalk: the elevated walkway through the wetland forest is for walking, not running — enjoy it on your cool-down.
Routes
- Easy 5 km: about three lake loops.
- 10 km: lake loops plus the running track.
- Long run: cross the Green Mile (1.3 km) to Lumpini Park, run its 2.5 km loop, and come back — roughly 8–10 km without a single road crossing. See our Lumpini guide.
