Bangkok marathon winners, course records and how to find your results
Winners and course records for Bangkok's two marathons — the Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok (2:14:27 men's record, set in 2025) and the Bangkok Marathon — plus where to find official results.
Bangkok has two major marathons: the Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok, first held in 2018, and the long-running Bangkok Marathon, first held in 1987. Here are their recent winners, course records, and how to look up your own time.
Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok
The race starts at MBK Center and finishes at Sanam Luang (since 2024). The 2025 edition, on 30 November 2025, set new course records in both races:
- Men: Agunafr Bekele (Ethiopia), 2:14:27 — course record.
- Women: Eunice Muchiri (Kenya), 2:39:27 — course record.
- Participation topped 48,000 across all distances in 2025, and the marathon itself sold out early with more than 5,000 runners.
Bangkok Marathon
Thailand's traditional international marathon starts at night from Sanam Chai Road beside the Grand Palace. The first edition in 1987 was won by Eddy Hellebuyck (Belgium) in 2:23:55 and Yuko Gordon (Hong Kong) in 2:57:40.
- Men's course record: 2:16:10, Kennedy Lilan (Kenya), 2010.
- Women's course record: 2:41:37, Elizabeth Chemweno (Kenya), 2012.
- Recent winners include Philip Lagat (Kenya, 2:33:55) and Etaferahu Dubale (Ethiopia, 2:55:14) in 2019. The night start in Bangkok's heat makes times much slower than cool-weather marathons.

How to find your race results
- Race-results sites: many big Bangkok races publish chip times on my.raceresult.com — search for the race name and year, then your name or bib number.
- Registration platforms: races sold on race.thai.run or Runlah usually link their results and e-certificates from the event page after race day.
- Official race pages: check the organiser's site or Facebook page; results are often posted within 24–48 hours.
- Elite results for internationally certified races appear on World Athletics' results pages.
